WHAT LEAD UP TO THIS HAWAII ELOPEMENT AT IRONWOODS BEACH
Taylor, originally from Oklahoma, and Tucker, from Kansas, crossed paths through an interesting connection. Taylor’s cousin attended college in Wichita, where Tucker’s best friend coincidentally pursued his education as well. What’s even crazier is that both Taylor’s cousin and Tucker’s best friend happened to be fraternity brothers. It was this bond that led to an invitation extended to them: a memorable spring break trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Taylor and Tucker hit it off instantly, finding solace in being the only two individuals not affiliated with the same college group. Sparks flew, and it was love at first sight. Eventually, Taylor decided to move to Kansas, accompanying Tucker while he pursued his passion for basketball at the University of Kansas.
Tucker, with the help of a family friend who specialized in event planning, orchestrated a truly perfect setting on a golf course. Skillfully coaxing Taylor into dressing up, he hinted that they were heading to a new restaurant in town. Little did she suspect that this outing was leading up to their proposal!

Taylor and Tucker have always done their own thing. The thought of planning an elaborate wedding and spending tons of money to entertain others simply didn’t align with their values. Instead, they were drawn to the idea of an intimate and romantic wedding, just the two of them, in the breathtaking paradise of Maui.
Their special day began with a “first look” session. Arriving separately in their own cars, the anticipation built as they neared the location without catching a glimpse of each other. I had scouted out the perfect spot for their intimate moment, and everything fell into place flawlessly.
The ceremony took place against a stunning cliffside backdrop, with just their parents in attendance. Afterward, we captured a memorable bride and groom photo session, exploring the surroundings. The atmosphere was pure magic—it’s Maui, after all. A sunset elopement couldn’t have been more fitting. What made the occasion even more special was the presence of their immediate family, who joined them to witness their love-filled union. Rev. Charles Nahale also serenaded them with his ukulele, adding a touch of beauty and an island melody to the ceremony. Taylor and Tucker’s genuine love for each other made capturing their moments a breeze, resulting in images that radiate pure joy and affection.
